Charities / NGOs

Devotec industries is deeply committed to empowering those in the developing world. We believe that by working in conjunction with NGOs and charities active in the developing world, we can help utilise a natural resource that is in such abundance in many developing countries. By integrating the use of solar power to fulfil their energy requirements, people in developing countries can have access to 100% clean and 100% free energy- this is the goal that Devotec Industries is committed to help turn into a reality.

We are actively seeking charities and NGOs to work with in attaining this goal of using sustainable clean energy for the developing world.

Devotec Industries is also keen to work in conjunction with other companies' corporate responsibility programs, so that together we can help provide solar batteries and energy to the developing countries around the world.

Tunapanda Institute explores how technologies can solve problems in local contexts with both educational and practical goals.

Tunapanda Institute is a non-profit organization that spreads human dignity by training young adults in technology, design and business skills which lead people to higher incomes and more personal self-expression. They operate a training facility that primarily serves people from a large Nairobi informal settlement, called Kibera and train teacher for other organizations across East Africa. They also create open source software and open content to enable others to copy our model for free, even without highly-trained teachers.

"Exposing people to new well-designed technologies, like the Fuels, helps the people we work with think about new ideas and new business models in our context. Thanks Devotec!" - Jay Larson, co-founder.
